CAPERTON -- Celeste Mary Caperton, 72, of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2006, in the presence of her family due to complications from Alzheimer's. Mrs. Caperton was born May 20, 1933 in Chicago, IL and was a resident of Albuquerque for more than 33 years. She was a legal secretary for law firms in Chicago, attended the University of New Mexico, and worked for the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Caperton was also a Honorary Life Member of the Albuquerque Jaycees. Mrs. Caperton was preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine Ruddy and brother, John Ruddy, and is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, John "Jack" Caperton; stepchildren, John, Jill and David Caperton; and brothers, Jerry and Richard "Dick" Ruddy. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2006 at Sunrise Funeral Options, Chaplain Stephen Patterson of Ambercare Hospice, officiating.
