KETCHAM -- Nancy D. Ketcham, 76, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away after a long illness on Friday, April 21, 2006. She is survived by her sons, Barry Ketcham and wife, Kim and Tom Ketcham and wife, Jodi; daughters, Pat Walker and husband, Bob and Kathy Hubbard and husband, Dave; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Nancy, a native of up-state New York, moved to New Mexico in the 1970s and never looked back. She loved New Mexico! Nancy was a registered nurse and care giver, what meant most to her was her time spent as a 1st Lieutenant flight nurse in the United States Air Force. She later entered into the civil service serving in the public health system. Nancy worked numerous years at the Shiprock and Ruidoso Indian reservation hospitals, and later retired from the VA Hospital here in Albuquerque. Upon retirement, she became an active member of the Meadowlark Senior Center in Rio Rancho. Her most beloved club at the senior center was the Fishing Club, for which she served a term as treasurer. Nancy had a passion for camping and traveling. Some of her many journeys included travel to China, Russia, and many countries in Europe. In her later years, because of many physical restrictions, she developed a passion for gambling, thank God for casinos. She was far more influential on far more than she ever knew and will be missed by all of us who loved and treasured her. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. A private burial will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
