RASMUSSEN -- Ardelle Dolores Rasmussen, 78, went home peacefully to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2006 after a long illness. She was born Ardelle Dolores Thompson on January 4, 1928 to Martin and Eva Thompson in Brookings, SD. She married Allen E. Rasmussen on December 30, 1952 in Bruce, SD and is survived by her husband and three children, James A. Rasmussen and wife, Betty, Susan Jane Moller and husband, Greg, and Mary Ann Cuneo husband, Michael; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Ardelle graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD and went on to teach high school for several years before marrying and raising her family on a farm in Platte, SD. After moving to Albuquerque, NM in 1976, Ardelle worked as secretary at St. Stephens Methodist Church and enjoyed interior decorating, reading and spending time with family and friends. Funeral Services will take place at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2006 at Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3900 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with interment at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Friends may visit on Sunday, April 23, 2006, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
