GALLEGOS -- Leonardo C. Gallegos, born November 17, 1945 in Socorro, NM, passed away April 17, 2006 at home surrounded by family. Mr. Gallegos proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his son, Abel Gallegos; grandson, Steven Llamas; parents, Leandro and Anna Maria Gallegos; father-in-law, Pete Valenzuela; and three brothers, Filemon, Eloy, and Arcenio. Mr. Gallegos is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Juanita Gallegos; three children, Dolores Perrone and husband, John, Sandra Llamas and husband, Steven, Leonardo Gallegos and wife, Alexandria; nine grandchildren, Dominic, Brandi, Shannon, Leonardo, Damien, Elizabeth, Barbara, Leonardo III and Isaiah; brothers and sisters, Esiquio Gallegos and wife, Esther, Robert Gallegos and wife, Martha, Leroy Gallegos and wife, Jenny, Gloria Arriaga, Mary Griego and husband, Manuel, Patrick Gallegos and wife, Roberta, Tomasita Lucero and husband, Pat, Frances Sanchez and husband, Abie; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Visitation for Mr. Gallegos will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Salazar & Sons Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. also at St. Anne Church. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Daniel Gallegos, Mike Gallegos, Clarence Gallegos, Maximilliano Lucero, Carlos Sanchez, and David Griego.
