ARGUBRIGHT -- Adris Mae Mitchell Argubright, 84, of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006 at the Montebello Skilled Nursing Facility with her family at her bedside. She was born February 3, 1922 on the family farm in Lake Park, IA to the late Frank and Amanda Mitchell. In addition to her parents, Adris is preceded in death by a brother, Harlan Mitchell. Survivors include her children, Dr. Kent F. Argubright and his wife, Lee of Albuquerque; Colonel Peggy A. Shaw, USAF (Ret.) and her husband, Tom of Colorado Springs, CO; Karen L. Morgan and her husband, Stuart of Springfield, VA; six grandchildren, Amanda Heitritter, Thomas Argubright, Brian Shaw, Andrew Shaw, Connor Morgan, Taylor Morgan and sister-in-law, Lennace Brandt. Adris was active for many years in church and volunteer organizations, serving as a Sunday School teacher for the United Methodist Church, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and a Girl Scout leader. She served the Lord through active church fellowship. Adris traveled widely throughout North America, Europe, Africa, and South America. She dedicated her life to her family and friends and was a source of love, encouragement and inspiration for all who knew her. Adris was proud of her family's accomplishments of which she was such a large part.
