DAVIS -- Noah Zane Davis died peacefully March 19, 2006 at the age of 6. Noah is survived by his parents, Trisha and Zach, and his little brother, Aydin. He is also survived by his Grandma Mary Nilsen, Grandpa Garry and Nana Sally Davis, great-grandmother Eleanora Davis, Auntie Bert, Uncle Bryse, Uncle Bob, Aunt Terri, Uncle Weegee, Aunt Brenda, Uncle Dennis, Aunt Deanna, Uncle Stephen, and cousins Vanessa, Austin, Amber and husband Paul, Reina, Cassidy, Casey, Crystal, Kelly, Natalie, Ashlin and Nolan as well as countless friends, extended family, and his dog Haley. Noah was diagnosed with brain stem glioma in August and fought his little heart out to beat this rare cancer. Despite the many limitations associated with "the bump in his head," Noah loved life and lived in a way that touched every one he met along his short journey. He was a spirited little redhead who didn't know a stranger. He loved Batman, Happy Meals, and the dollar store, where he spent many an afternoon shopping for presents for the people he loved. He gave us so many happy experiences and memories that we will always cherish. He showed us all what is truly important in life: each other. It is difficult to understand how someone so young and vibrant got so sick so quickly and left us too soon. We are comforted to know that Noah is now free of his cancer and he has his balance back! We think he's in heaven eating a grilled cheese and riding bikes with loved ones who were waiting for him. We can only hope that his brief life will inspire others to live each day to the fullest. We'd like to thank the hundreds of people who have helped us over the past seven months. You have made this experience just a little more bearable with your time, generosity, thoughts and prayers. Arrangements are being managed by Sunrise Funeral Options, 7601 Wyoming Blvd., NE, 87109. Funeral Service at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 10 a.m. (4601 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE). Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd. NE). Reception following at the Davis home. In lieu of flowers, please remember Noah by contributing to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Children's Cancer Fund of New Mexico, Give Kids the World, the Pediatric Brain Cancer Foundation, Rachel's Courtyard at Presbyterian Hospital, or the UNM Children's Hospital. All of these wonderful organizations helped make Noah's last seven months very special.
