KUHN -- Gerald Francis Kuhn, born November 5, 1929 in Royersford, PA, our beloved father and grandfather, Gerald Francis Kuhn passed away at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 12, 2006. "Gerry" as he was known to family and friends, will be long remembered for his generosity and compassion for family, friends, and strangers. Gerry was an accomplished plumber by trade and a carpenter by choice. Through his passion for life and dedication to improving the world around him, he served to inspire and lead. His many joys included a love of flying, auto restoration, woodworking, western dancing, his family and the City of Albuquerque. Gerry served proudly in the Korean War as an Air Force Airman 2nd class. He then returned to Pennsylvania to help his dad and family in their plumbing business. In 1953, he moved with his family from Pennsylvania to Albuquerque where he continued his career in plumbing while attending the University of New Mexico. Gerry married his wife of 30 years, Lynne, and together they raised four children. He later became Training Director for the Plumber's and Pipefitter's Union Local 412, retiring after 35 years as a union leader. Gerry also served on various community associations including the Albuquerque International Airport Board of Directors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gertrude Kuhn; his brother, Joseph Kuhn; and sisters, Fran Aldrich and Lori Katibah. He is survived by his four children and seven grandchildren: Steven Kuhn and wife, Laura and daughter, Stevi, Valerie Wells and husband, Ron, and children, Matthew, Rachel, Melissa, and Jonathan; Erin Maw and husband, Charles and children, C.J. and Harley; Amy Halpin and husband, Robert and daughter, Astrid.
