GEORGOFF -- ROBERT The Memorial Service for Robert Georgoff, 73 of Aberdeen, SD, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Harold E. Salem officiating. Bob died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital. Spitzer Funeral Home, 320 6th Ave. SE, Aberdeen, SD is in charge of arrangements. Robert Georgoff was born on June 14, 1932 at Toledo, OH to Anthony and Mary (Tykodi) Georgoff. This is the area where he grew up and attended school. He graduated from Central High School in Toledo with the class of 1950. He then attended the University of Toledo. On March 26, 1952 he entered the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on March 25, 1955. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Cbysiski in Toledo. He worked for Continental Coffee until 1961 when he was transferred to Livonia, MI. Bob owned and operated Western Beef Buffet. In 1985 they moved to Albuquerque, NM where he worked for Sexton Food Company. Barbara died February 26, 1991 in Albuquerque. On August 1, 1993 he married Roberta Evans in Albuquerque. Bob retired in 1994 and in August of 2000 they moved to Aberdeen to be near family. Bob attended First Baptist Church. He loved golfing and yard work. Grateful for having shared Bob's life are his wife, Roberta Georgoff, Aberdeen; three children, Ronald (Denise) Georgoff, Aberdeen, Michael (Shari) Georgoff, Emmitsburg, MD, Robin (Clifford) Matushin, Aberdeen; three step-children, Russel (Jennifer) Evans, Rowlett, TX, Randal (Sharon) Evans, Mesa, AZ, Robin (Timothy) O'Sullivan, Alexandra, VA; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Julia), Paul, Nicole, Stephanie, Megan, James, Elycia, and Joshua; eight step-grandchildren, Aaron, Weston, Madeline, Lloyd, Tyler, Caralyn, Conner, and Kathleen; brother, Ted (Sandy) Georgoff; sister, Teresa (Bud) Zsigray, both of Toledo. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; four sisters, Helen Munson, Mary Georgoff, Stella Tomar, Ann Cutcher; and one brother, Alex Georgoff. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial to the Christian Worship Hour, P.O. Box 2002, Aberdeen, SD 57402.
