ROYBAL -- Charles (Carlo) Anthony Roybal, 62, went to be with the Lord, Our Father, on Monday, February 27, 2006. He was born May 28, 1943 in Santa Fe, NM to parents Vidal and Mary Roybal, who preceded him in death. Charles will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. After earning his degree, Charles worked hard and became a successful business owner. Charles received the most enjoyment from being with his family and friends. He is survived by his four children, Charles Jr., Kristine Meyers, Annette and husband, Edward Gonzales, Lori and husband, Gerald Sanchez; former wife, Linda and husband, Frank Chavez; brothers, Billy, Phillip and wife, Priscilla, David and partner, Patsy Holmes; sisters, Rachel Vigil, Mary Louise and husband, Maynard Salazar; grandchildren, Tiffany, Charles, Krystal, Jeffrey, Samantha, Joshua, Aaron, Brittany and Kaylin, Priscilla; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Benito; niece and nephews, Carol, Felipe, Amadeo, Vidal, and Enrique; great nephews, Marcus, Matthew, R.J. : many other relatives and friends. Charles was well known and loved by many. He will be sorely missed and always remembered most for his friendly smile, handshake and willingness to help others. Charles had a strong Christian faith and shared his beliefs with his family, friends and everybody that would listen. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at La Paloma, 1424 4th St, Santa Fe, NM. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ann's in Santa Fe. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at St. Ann's. Internment will follow at Rosario Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Charles Saiz, Jeffrey Meyers, Joshua Sanchez, Gerald Sanchez, Aaron Gonzales and Edward Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rosser Knee, Frank Trujillo, Jojo Romero, Joe Montoya and Tom C De Baca. Memorial contributions can be made to Bank of the West, acct# 274052067, True Justice for Carlo Roybal Fund. A special thanks to the office of Ray Twohig who gave Charles the will to fight. Family and friends are invited to St. Ann's Hall after the burial.
