LANTZ-CASADOS -- Darla M. Lantz-Casados, 48, a resident of Los Alamos since 1999, left this earth on Monday, February 27, 2006, to be with her Sweet Jesus. She was surrounded by her loving family. Darla was a giving and creative person who enjoyed life to its fullest. She enjoyed painting, photography, creating flower arrangements, snow skiing, bicycling, and sports. Her greatest pleasure in life was being a grandmother. Darla was a member of the Nazarene Church of White Rock. She was employed by Espanola Sports Medicine. Prior employment included Floral Manager at Smith's Food and Drug in Los Alamos. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Casados of Los Alamos, NM; mother, Sylvia Lantz of Bosque Farms, NM; sons, David Patterson and wife, Heather of Los Alamos, NM, and Kirt and wife, Brandy of Moab, UT; step-daughter, Dawnna Patterson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; step-son, Greg Casados of Los Alamos, NM; grandchildren, Tristian. Kiaira, Paige, Jasmin, Kennedi, and Kade; sisters, Deborah Artiaga of Bosque Farms, NM, and Dixie Lantz-Thompson of Cabot, AR; nephews, Clem and Dakota; nieces, Terecina and Summer; uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends. Darla is also survived by the wonderful 5 South Staff of the University of New Mexico Hospital. During her 11-month stay following her automobile accident the care that she received by the 5 South Staff was very loving and caring. Darla was preceded in death by her father, Bob Lantz; sister, Doreen Malynn Lantz; and brother, Darr Michael Lantz. Darla will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial Services will be held Friday, 2:00 p.m., at the Nazarene Church of White Rock, White Rock, NM, with a reception to follow. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
