JARVIS -- Joan Mary Jarvis, 86, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1980, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2006. Joan was born April 2, 1919 the daughter of Reuben and Mary Savage Gowers in London, England. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the St. Thomas Aquinas Altar and Rosary Society. Joan researched and wrote a book outlining her family's history. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael. Joan is survived by her husband, DeAlton R. Jarvis of the family home; two sons, Stephen Jarvis and wife Deborah of Reno, NV, and David Jarvis and wife Freer of Atlanta, GA; grandson, Christopher Jarvis and wife Melissa of Albuquerque, Step grandson, Vince; and great grandchild, Sean Jarvis. Visitation will be held today, Sunday, February 12, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln, Rio Rancho. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, February 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
