BOWERS -- Genevieve Bowers, age 71, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2006. She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, Lucian Pifflinger and Maria Zimmer, and her brother, Gabriel Pifflinger. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth M. Bowers; daughter, Sandra D. Lopez; son, Marc Bowers; grandchildren, Erica Lopez and fianc, Brian Ferns, Martine Lopez, Jordan Lopez, Kenneth L. Bowers, Britteny Bowers; numerous relatives living in Metz, France; other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Memorial Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalilllo, NM., on Thursday, January 12, 2006. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
