PADILLA -- Lupita Ortiz Padilla passed away on December 30, 2005. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Cipriano Padilla; one son, Cecilio Padilla; one grandson, Patrick Padilla; one daughter-in-law, Frances Padilla; her parents; and all of her brothers and sisters, whom she laid to rest. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia and husband, Henry Pacheco, Charlotte and husband, Gerald Grimm, Judy and husband, Clifford DeLara, and Rosalie and husband, Rod Sanchez; her sons, Tony Padilla, Cipriano Jr. and wife, Violet Padilla, Pete and wife, Mary Padilla, Sam and wife, Karen Padilla, Frankie and wife, Grace Padilla, Leandro and wife, Margie Padilla, and Wilfred and wife, Emily Padilla; daughters-in-law, Melba Padilla and Theresa Garcia; 45 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Cipriano Jr., Pete, Sam, Frankie, Leandro, and Wildred Padilla. Honorary Pallbearer will be Tony Padilla. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at Risen Savior Catholic Community. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
