MATHES -- Terry Lee Mathes, 56, of Moriarty, NM, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2005 in Albuquerque, NM with his loving family beside him. Terry was born October 21, 1949 to Leonard and Lois "Ilene" (Kutzner) Mathes. He married Kathleen Olsen on September 23, 2000 in Moriarty, NM. Terry proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was active in the D.A.V., and the V.F.W. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus as a Fourth Degree Knight. He served as a Lector as well as a Mayordomo for the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. Terry is survived by his wife, Kathleen of the home; his sons, Sean McCloskey and his wife, Samantha of Moriarty, NM, David McCloskey of Albuquerque, NM, Dale McCloskey and his wife, Reyna of Broken Arrow, OK, and Brian McCloskey of Moriarty, NM; daughters, Tammie Spann and her husband, Steve of Moriarty, NM, and Lenora Mathes of Albuquerque, NM; a brother, Jeremy Mathes of Orange Park, FL; a sister, Denise Beasley and her husband, Terry of Derby, KS; five grandchildren, Alicia Ann, Julianna, Kailee, Sheldon, and Bryanna; and his father, Leonard Mathes of Moriarty, NM. His mother, Ilene, preceded him in death. Terry will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved him. There will be a Rosary recited for Terry on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. Father William Young will officiate. Pallbearers will be Manuel Baldonado, Pat Romero, Michael Tavenner, Pete Tapia, James Waters, and Lincoln Richey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sean McCloskey, David McCloskey, Dale McCloskey, Brian McCloskey, Steven Spann, Joshua Mathes, Mike Crowley, Michael Hearn, and Charles Hearn.
