VAN WAGONER -- Betty C. Van Wagoner, 73, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was called home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2005. She was born December 27, 1931 in Raton, NM. She is survived by her daughters, Betty (B.G.) Van Wagoner, Angie Schafer and husband, Steve, Cindy Salisbury and husband, Dwayne, and Donna Brady and husband, Donny; and six very special grandchildren, Michael Salisbury, Rachel and Kevin Schafer, Shianne and Amber Van Wagoner, and Abigail Brady; her aunt, Toni; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Van Wagoner; her parents, Andrew and Pauline Cunico; her brothers, John and Frank Cunico; and special niece, Suzie Martin. Though Betty had four daughters, she was "Mom" to so many through volunteer work as school room mother, PTA board member, Campfire Girl leader, and reading lab tutor. She was a money counter at church for many years, and enjoyed many laughs with the women in her bowling leagues. She opened her heart, home, and refrigerator to all, having a special gift for making people feel welcome. A Memorial Rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 5, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas NE (Lomas and Tennessee).
