RUSK -- Glen W. Rusk, age 82, passed away in the company of his loving family after a long and courageous battle. Glen was born in Carterville, MO, to Glen W., Sr. and Juanita D. Rusk, who preceded him in death. He and his wife, Harriett moved to Espanola in 1956 where he became very active in the community. Glen retired from the Fire Department after 35 years of dedicated service. He was very active in the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and the Espanola Valley Shrine Club. He had a great passion for the Shrine and was very active in assisting children who needed care and to go to the various Shrine Hospitals across the United States. He was a very proud member of the Espanola Valley Tri-Rod Motorcycle Group. The Tri-Roders traveled across the state performing in various parades. Glen was "Man of the Year" in the city of Espanola in 1991. He loved to travel and took numerous cruises. He especially loved traveling in his RV. Glen and Harriett spent many summers in Chama. Due to health reasons, Glen and Harriett moved to Belen in 1997, where Glen remained active and involved in the community. He truly loved his family and never missed an opportunity to be with them. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Harriett; daughter, Mary Gustin and husband, Terry; granddaughter, Nita and husband, Rusty Gwynne; grandson, Wesley Gustin; three great-grandchildren, Mckinah, Kirstan, and Konner Gwynne; his sister, Phyllis Jo and husband, Robert Close; sister-in-law, Margaret Hillton; and three nieces; and two nephews. "WE WILL TRULY MISS YOU GRANDAD!" The family wishes that donations be made in Glen's memory to the Rio Grande Estates Fire Department. Services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel beginning with a viewing on Wednesday, November 3, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A final visitation will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Wes Gustin, Rusty Gwynne, Bo Reneau, Mike Gustin, Jimmy Thompson, and Thomas Norris.
