MARTINEZ -- Joe D. Martinez, age 53, our beloved son, husband, father, brother and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 22, 2005. Joe was born in Chimayo, NM and was a resident of Bernalillo, NM for 33 years. He was preceded in death by his father, George; brothers, Adonise and Rubel Martinez. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Emma; sons, Louie and wife, Anita, Thomas and wife, Renee; his mother, Sofia; siblings, Gilbert, Elena, Adam, Matilda, Sammy and Susie; one very special grandson, Jacob Joe Martinez; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2005. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2005. A gravesite service and burial will follow at Canones Community Cemetery in Canones, NM. Pallbearers will be Michael Martinez, Brian Montoya, Rubel Martinez, Felix Valdez, Margarito Velasquez and Jerie Villescas. The honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Joe Martinez.
