PELLACANI -- Rachel Virginia Pellacani, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969, died Saturday November 19, 2005. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Aldo Pellacani; children, David Spradling and wife, Shirley, of Downers Grove, IL and Martha E. Goujon and husband, Jack, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, David Allen Spradling and wife, Tina, Michael Edward Spradling and wife, Chris, Christy Langram and Kimberly Langram , all of IL, Ginger L. Green and husband, Tom of Albuquerque and Jill R. Davis and husband, Craig of Harrisonville, MO; seven great grandchildren, Dallas, Dylan, Ashley, Taylor, Joey Isabella, and Joe; cousins, Richard Rowlette and wife, Maria of Albuquerque, and Christina Jones and husband, David, of Albuquerque; and numerous friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. W.D. Spradling in 1969. She was born in Tazewell, TN on September 1, 1921 and graduated from high school in Monroe, MI. Virginia attended Nursing School in Shelbyville, TN. She and Rev. Spradling pastored many churches in TN and IL before his death. Virginia served as President of the Nurses Association in TN for many years. After moving to Albuquerque she worked as a nurse at Presbyterian Hospital, Intensive Care Unit. In 1972 she became a civil service nurse at Kirtland Air Force Base where she worked until she transferred to the Albuquerque Veterans Hospital, where she retired in 1988. Virginia was a devoted wife, beloved grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family was her life. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE Monday, November 21, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Prayer Service will be held at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Deacon Al McLane officiating.
