CRAMER -- Ray Eldon Cramer, Jr., born in Pratt, KS died at the age of 68 of a heart attack on Sunday, November 6, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray E. and Catherine Cramer. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Beverly Cramer; and three children, Melissa Glauch, wife of Christopher Glauch of Denver, CO; Meredith Rhodenbaugh, wife of Mark Rhodenbaugh of Dallas, TX; and Mark Cramer and his wife, Lisa Cramer of Denver, CO. He is also survived by his brother, James Cramer and his wife, June Cramer of San Jose, CA; and his sister, Cheri Johnson, wife of Reverend Dewey Johnson of Albuquerque, NM; as well as three grandchildren, Madalyn Rhodenbaugh, Spencer Rhodenbaugh and Kenzie Rhodenbaugh. After graduating from the University of New Mexico in 1959, where he was the President of the Senior Class and a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, Ray joined Connecticut Life Mutual prior to founding the Ray Cramer Agency. During his career, he served as President of GAMA (General Agents and Managers Association), Member of New Mexico Life Underwriters, and Member of Million Dollar Round Table. Ray actively contributed to the community as Past President of the Del Norte Rotary (where he was a Paul Harris Fellow), NMSO Board Member, Member of Temple Lodge #6 A.F. & A.M. and the Ballut Abyad Shrine and Member of the Jesters Court, Member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce (serving as Chairman of the annual golf tournament), Member of MENSA, and Member of the Presbyterian Hospital Center Foundation. He supported several non-profit organizations including the Carrie Tingley Children's Hospital through fund raising efforts. Ray was also a member of the First United Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. The Sandia Presbyterian Church recognized him as an honorary member. Some of his lifelong enjoyments included golf, artwork, literature, history, and current event discussions. Ray was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, and possessed an unshakable positive outlook on life. He set a benchmark for all through his steadfast and honorable character, and commitment to meaningful relationships. He proudly spoke of his love of country and felt truly blessed for those around him. We, who had the honor of knowing him, will miss him dearly. Services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2005, 1:30, at Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo Del Norte NE. Reverend Dewey Johnson, Ray's brother-in-law, will officiate. Honorary Pall Bearers include James Bisbee, Bill Carroll, Gene Coulter, Don Crismore, Vaun Floyd, Jerry Haddox, James R. Hutchison, Robert Jackson, Miguel Martinez, Lewis Overton, Livingston Parsons, Dudley Price, John Salazar, Lee Seligman and James Stevenson.
