VAN WYK -- Joseph William Van Wyk, age 82, of Albuquerque, went to be with his Lord Monday, October 3, 2005. Joe was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Throughout his life he had been active in his church and while in Midland, MI, he helped organize the Midland Christian School. In his retirement years, he enjoyed traveling and outdoor activities with his wife. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Theresa (Teri); daughter, Beverly and fiance, Alan Gross; son, Joe; and daughter, Donna Haynes and husband, Stan; grandsons, Joshua, Christopher, and Eric; and granddaughter, Lanay; brothers, William and Earl. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Shirley and Lanae in 1977. A Memorial Service will be held at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Blvd. NE, Friday, October 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Midland Christian School, 4417 West Wackerly St., Midland, MI 48640-0486 or Ambercare Hospice, 5100 Indian School NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
