GALLEGOS -- Anna Marie Gallegos, 91, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 in Socorro, NM. She was born April 25, 1914 to Martin and Benina (Savedra) Chavez in Mangas, NM. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leandro Gallegos Sr.; her sons: Filemon, Ramon, Eloy, Arsenio, and Leandro Jr.; and her sister, Cipriana Griego. Anna Marie is survived by her sons: Esiquio and Robert, both of Barstow, CA; Leonardo and Patrick, both of Albuquerque, NM; and Leroy of Belen, NM; daughters: Gloria Arriaga and Mary Griego, both of Barstow, CA; Tomasita Lucero of Aragon, NM; and Frances Sanchez of Datil, NM; sister, Lucilla Baca of Socorro, NM; 35 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Datil, NM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with Msgn. McDonald as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Datil Cemetery. Pallbearers are Leonardo Gallegos Jr., Abran Sanchez, Ramon Gallegos, Danny Gallegos, Angelo Griego and Mike Gallegos. Special music by Clarence Gallegos. Arrangements are under the care of Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, 309 Garfield, Socorro, NM.
