MORRIS -- F. Max Morris, 66, went to be home with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, September 30, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Morris of Albuquerque; son, Mark Morris and wife, Danielle of Johnstown, CO; daughter, Mickey Mitchell and husband, Randy of Arvada, CO; granddaughter, Katie Mitchell of Arvada, CO; mother, Edith Morris of Littlefield, TX; sister, Paula Gillham and husband, Winston of Lubbock, TX; brother Roger Morris of Dallas, TX. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by a son, Fred Max Morris and his father, Floye Morris. Max played football for 4 years and graduated with a degree in Nuclear Engineering and a Masters Degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Oklahoma. He then went to be an officer in the U.S. Army where he worked on the nuclear reactor at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. He moved to Albuquerque in 1966 where he began a 35 year career as a staff member at Sandia National Laboratories, working on nuclear reactors in Technical Area V. Max's true gift was coaching and teaching children. While his children were growing up he was active in Little League Baseball, YAFL Football, and various Christian organizations. He attended Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque and was active in the Prayer Room Ministry and the Cancer Support Group. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2005 at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd NE, with Pastors Bob Church and David Row, officiating. Private interment will follow. Friends may visit at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2005.
