LOPEZ -- Benny Cruz Lopez, 54, went home to the Lord on Thursday, August 18, 2005. Benny was born in Gallup, NM to Bentura and Maria Elena Lopez. He moved to Albuquerque when he was twelve and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1970. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1971 and is a Vietnam veteran. Benny was employed by the NM Transportation Dept. for 14 years. Benny is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 35 years, Sally Lopez; sons, Steve and wife, Laura of Odessa, TX, Jose and wife, Dawn of Edgewood, Mike and wife, Kristy stationed at Fort Campbell, KY; grandchildren, Tyler, Alycia, Danielle, Alayna, Sierra, Kristin, Estevan, Isaiah; aunts who raised him, Annie Lopez and Prudy Jaramillo; brothers, Arnold, Ronald, Denny, Gerry (Patty), Bobby (Eva) Lopez and Martin, Joe, Rick (Bonnie) Jaramillo; sisters, Angie (Bill Richardson), Charlotte (James Reed), Denise (Bill Parsons), Tina, Yolanda (Gerald Neal), Wanda, Isabel Cordova, Sylvia (Steve Maestas), Barbara Gonzales and Wanda (Raymond Arellano); numerous extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Elena and Ben Lopez, Sr., Patsy Lopez, Joe Lopez and Frank Jaramillo. Visitation will be Monday, August 22, 2005, 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Rosary will be recited Monday, August 22, 2005, 7:00 p.m., French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, August 23, 2005, 10:00 a.m., St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, North Highway 344, Edgewood, NM with Fr. John Carney officiating. He will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Transportation Employees Assoc., District Three, P. O.
