PICKARD -- AnnaBelle Pickard was born in Moore, OK on July 7, 1924 to Lawrence and Eda Louise Finchum. She passed away peacefully on July 15, 2005 with her daughter by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Helen and Fern; and three brothers, Charlie, Sherman, and Jack. She is survived by her daughter, Loretta; her three grandchildren, Cyndi Menchaca (Appolonio), Shani Magee (Marvin), Michael Templeton; and six great-grandchildren, Trey and Daniel Menchaca, Justin and Melissa Magee, and Tamera and Travis Templeton; all of whom loved and will miss her very much. She was a special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by sisters, Mary and Ida Mae, brothers, Lawrence Jr. and Clarence; several sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. AnnaBelle worked for Safeway Stores in Albuquerque for 35 years, first as a checker and later as non-foods merchandiser. She loved her job and her co-workers and was respected by everyone who knew her. She loved cooking, sewing, and her home. In her retirement years she became an expert quilter and enjoyed her quilting friends. We would like to give special thanks to Rusty Hobbs and the entire staff at "The Cottages" for the wonderful care they gave our mother. We would also like to thank Michael Biven at Ambercare Hospice and everyone at Sunrise Assisted Living. Cremation has taken place and private services will be held.
