PEREA -- Maximo Miguel "Max" Perea, age 63, went to meet Jesus, Saturday, July 30, 2005. Max was a musician for many years with music being a big part of his life. Max served his country in the US Army. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and raising pigeons. Max was a member of the Fanciers Pigeon Club. His laughter and jokes will always be remembered by everyone his life touched. Max is survived by his wife, Mary Perea; son, Bryan and fiancee, Tenesha, who he loved very much; his mother-in-law, Maria Montoya; sisters, Silvia Montoya and husband ,Dave, Cecilia Snyder and husband, Al; brothers-in-law, Joseph Montoya and fiancee, Berlynn, Stephen Montoya and fiancee, Inez; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Trujillo and husband, Eddie, Margaret Mendez and husband, Ramon, Lorraine Chavez and husband, Lawrence, Carmen De La Rosa and husband, Mario, and Virginia Rodriguez; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Holy Child Parish in Tijeras, NM., with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, with burial following at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Snyder, Stephen Montoya, Raymond Mendez, Fernando Gomez, George Jr. and Andrew Mihalik. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Montoya, Joseph Montoya and Jimmy Lujan. The family would like to express their appreciation to Gail, Jeanne, Irene, Kathy, Suzanne and Jean of Presbyterian Hospice for their kindness and professionalism they have shown Max and his family.
