HENSHAW -- Dixie Margaret Henshaw, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, died on July 13, 2005. She is survived by her sons, Charles K. Henshaw and Cary R. Henshaw and wife Sally of Albuquerque; daughter, Judy M. Turner of St. Louis, MO; granddaughters, Mindy Lee Patton of Ventura, CA, Shawn Margaret Buttry of St. Louis, MO, and Caryn E. Henshaw of Albuquerque, NM; and great-granddaughters, Sierra A. Patton and Shania J. Patton, both of Ventura, CA, and Audrey M. Carter and Tia C. Buttry, both of St. Louis, MO. Mrs. Henshaw served her country during WWII in the Army Air Corps as a Flight Nurse. She was with the 403rd Troop Carrier Group, 801st Air Evacuation Squadron which was the first unit of Flight Nurses in South and Southwest Pacific Combat Zones. Action stations included Guadalcanal, New Hebrides, Bougainville, and New Caledonia. She retired from the VA Hospital after 30 years of service. Services will be held at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., Saturday, July 16, 2005 at 2 o'clock p.m. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1 o'clock p.m. Monday, July 18, 2005.
