FERGUSON -- Marian Eller Ferguson, a member of a pioneer New Mexico family, born Monday, March 30, 1908, died on Thursday, July 7, 2005. She was the daughter of Dr. Charles A. Eller and his wife, Alice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Ferguson of Wayne, WV; brother, Dr. Howe Eller; and sister, Barbara Graham. Mrs. Ferguson is survived by six nieces and nephews; Dr. Warren K. Graham, Betty G. McCracken, Patricia H. Bevelo, Mary J. Reznicek, Joe Ferguson Jr., and Alan Ferguson. Marian was born and grew up in Albuquerque. She attended Albuquerque High School and was a graduate of UNM, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity and mortarbroad. She played in the University Orchestra and later played with the Albuquerque Symphony Orchestra. Marian and her husband, Wallace, moved to West Virginia after their marriage but returned to Albuquerque to teach school in the Albuquerque Public School system. Wallace taught at Jefferson Junior High and Highland High School. Marian was Vice Principal and Principal at Valley High School. Marian and Wallace were members of Central United Methodist Church. Marian had many friends and stayed active playing bridge, reading and going to lunch, until the last year of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
