SAMUELSON -- Pauline Samuelson, age 94, of Manhattan, KS, passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side on Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at St. Joseph Village in Manhattan, KS. She was born November 14, 1910, at Elmdale, KS, the daughter of Walter and May (Travis) King. She was a homemaker, and grew up in the Fostoria and Westmoreland communities. She was a member of the Olsburg United Methodist Church and the Olsburg Senior Citizens. She was married June 2, 1935, at Albuquerque, NM, to John Howard Samuelson, where they resided until 1982, when she moved to Olsburg, KS. She then moved to Manhattan in 1989. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Samuelson, Sr., on June 26, 1980. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Pauline Ann Samuelson; one son John Howard Samuelson, Jr.; two brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Bommelaere and husband Ray of Manhattan, KS; two sisters, Alice McIntyre and Betty Jean Skinner both of Albuquerque, NM; one grandson, James Madison Bommelaere and wife Anna of Clearwater, FL; and three granddaughters, Leita Fritzson and husband Bernard of Solomon, KS, Victoria Edmondson and husband Michael of Overland Park, KS and Donna Rohde and husband Jeff of Cheraw, CO; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Albuquerque. The Holmes-Pfeifley Funeral Home of Riley, KS, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials have been established for the Presbyterian Home Healthcare of Albuquerque and the Olsburg United Methodist Church.
