KELTON -- Thomas Eugene Kelton, age 90, passed away June 16, 2005 at home in Belen, NM. He was born to Mary and John Kelton, Sr. in Center Hill, AR in 1914. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Julia Kelton (Polly). Tom worked in a cotton mill as a youth in Georgia and as a cowboy ranch hand on a cattle ranch in the Manzano Mountains. He went to work for the Santa Fe Railroad in 1942 as a laborer and later as an electrician. Tom was promoted to diesel supervisor in 1965 and transferred to Belen. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad in 1978. He was a 65 year member of the I.B.E.W. union and a member of the Lutheran Church. Tom is survived by five daughters, Carolyn Peterson and husband, Gary of Kalamazoo MI, Kathryn Brannon of Farmington, NM, Donna Holley of Rio Rancho, NM, Judith Rogers and her husband, Allen of Rio Rancho, and Laura Brown and her husband, Bruce of Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Raymond Sturmoski and his wife, Kristie, Cathy Bonnes and her husband, Jeff, Greg Peterson and his wife, Kim all of Michigan, Lynette Singleton and her husband, Joe of Navajo Lake, NM, Charlotte Stock and her husband, Ed of Colorado Springs, CO, Travis Brannon and his wife, Bobbie of Taylorsville, NC, Jeremy Brannon and his wife, Roberta of Farmington, NM, Sarah Gergel and her husband, Joey of Rio Rancho, Paul Holley and his wife, Cass of Albuquerque, Rebekah Lopez and her husband, Adam of Sandia Park, NM, Allen Roy Rogers, and Jonathon Rogers both of Rio Rancho, Alyssa Brown of Loveland, CO, Rachel Veech and her husband, Randall of Silverton, CO, Christian Brown of Albuquerque. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St. Belen.
