FRIEND -- Richard Lee Friend, 41, husband, father, brother, and friend, left our lives unexpectedly on May 15, 2005. Friend was definitely a fitting last name because he was a friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Dawn; daughter, Kristina Friend; grandma, Irma Ellis; sister, Patty van Dyck and husband, Chris; niece and nephew, Emily and Eric van Dyck, all of Albuquerque; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Marge and Gary Friend and his grandpa, Billy Joe Ellis. The memories and good times he left us will never be forgotten. A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2005, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Lomas and Morningside NE with Father Francis Eggert, Celebrant.
