HAALAND -- David L. Haaland, born May 16, 1963 on Kirtland AFB, left us Monday March 21, 2005 in Oklahoma City, OK. He is survived by the love of his life, wife Mary J. Haaland of their family home in Oklahoma City, OK; former wife, Brenda Haaland, the mother of his sons, Alex and Dustin Haaland of St. Petersburg, FL; mother, Judy Mouser; brother, Robert and wife, Brandy; niece, Caitlin Haaland; and sister, Dani Pool, all residing in Edgewood, NM; grandparents, Roy "Jenks" and Gladys Jenkins of Albuquerque, NM, from whom he learned life's most important lessons. One uncle; two aunts; five cousins. He was preceded in death by his caring stepfather, Patrick Mouser. David was born 1 year and 10 days after his big brother Robby, and 4 years and 10 days prior to the arrival of his baby sister, Dani. (May 6th, 16th, 26th). He was a graduate of Del Norte High School. After his service in the United States Navy for which he was most proud of operating the main system computers aboard the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea, he was a long haul driver, most recently, for Ashley Furniture Company. He was his mama's "favorite," but also knew his mama secretly whispered the same sentiment to his brother and sister. His inventiveness and creativity was limitless, his laughter contagious. His unselfish, thoughtful and gentle nature, his unique sweetness and his exceptionally endearing, crooked smile will be forever missed by every life he touched. Rest easy now "Day-Day," in God's loving arms. The Book of Life Has many pages And chapters are added Through eternal ages. On a shining new page May God Lovingly write Our beloved David's name in letters of light. We will love and miss him always.
