RESTAINO -- Christopher Michael Restaino, beloved son, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2005 in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his parents, Sergio and Michelle Restaino, and Greg and Lisa Lopez; brothers, Alex Restaino and Michael Lopez; and sister, Christina Lopez; grandparents, Elwin and Margit Roach, Domenico Restaino, and George and Vickie Lopez; great-grandparents, Lola and Valon Roach; and four aunts, six uncles, sixteen cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Letizia Restaino. Christopher began his short journey with us on August 16, 1985 in Alamogordo, NM. He grew up in Albuquerque and attended John Baker Elementary, Hoover Middle School, and Eldorado High School where he graduated in 2003. Christopher was active in the Boy Scouts of America, with Troop 166, where he proudly earned his Eagle Scout rank in 2003. He was also an avid soccer player and was a member of many teams. His deep love of nature was evident in the joy he felt when hiking in the mountains or snorkeling in the ocean. Christopher was such a kind and loving soul and touched so many people. He will be deeply missed. True to his Boy Scouting values, he chose to be an organ donor and continues in giving even after his passing. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 1:00 p.m., at Christ Unity Church, 9800 Candelaria Rd. NE. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Christopher Restaino Memorial Fund benefiting various teenage and ecological issues to Sandia Labs Credit Union, account number 1128230.
