SINGLETARY -- Alvin T. Singletary was born December 28, 1932 in Wilmington, NC to Mr. And Mrs. James Singletary. He departed this life on Monday, March 14, 2005. Alvin Singletary was a well known business man in the community, he owned and operated various businesses, leaving behind the most successful one, Four Star Auto Sales, where he was able to help many customers. His nature was that of a gentle kindhearted and loving person whose purpose was to never intentionally hurt or harm anyone. He was known in the community as Big Al, he will be dearly missed by family, friends and anyone who he came in contact with him. He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Essie Singletary; and his sister, Ms. Katie Tindall of Harrisburg, PA; his children; and many grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Services will be held Monday, March 21, 2005, 11:00 a.m., at Metropolitan Temple Church of God in Christ, located at 1120 2nd St. NW, with Pastor James L' Keith Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by Sunrise Funeral Options, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 821-0010.
