SILVA -- Manuel Silva, lifelong resident of New Mexico, died in his sleep Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the age of 84. Manuel is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eva Romero Silva of Belen. He is survived by their five children: Martha Woesch (her husband Rick Woesch), Dave Silva (his wife Marge Siska), Willie Silva (his wife Vicki), Gini Silva (her husband Brad Zeikus), and Tish Silva (her partner Nils Hochhausler). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Valerie Silva, Craig Erdman, Kelly Zeikus, Emily Siska, twins Josef and Sarah Woesch, Grace Woesch, Peter Zeikus, Jessica Zeikus, Tony Woesch, Anne-Camille Woesch Collins, Kam Silva, and Jennifer Zeikus. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Kenzie-Lynn Collins. Manuel Silva was Internal Auditor for the NM Department of Motor Vehicles in Santa Fe for more than twenty years. He served in the state legislature from 1952 to 1954, representing Valencia County. He is a former city manager of Grants. He served in the Navy, stationed in the Pacific during World War II as an air gunner. He was an avid and proficient golfer until the past few years. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, March 20, 2005, 5:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd Chapel. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 823-9400
