JONES -- Evelyn Nobel Rawls Jones passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2005. She was 76 years of age. She is survived by her three children: Paul, Jim, Bill, three nieces; Jan, Julie, and Jean; and three grandchildren: Stenia, Jimmy, and Debbie. Born on Monday, July 22, 1926, in Tampa, FL to Edgar and Leila Rawls. In 1928, the family arrived by train at the Alvarado train station and hotel in Albuquerque, due to her father's tuberculosis illness from participating in WWI. The family resided on 242 Hermosa, and her father passed away in 1932. She graduated from Albuquerque High School 1940 and married Bertraham W. Browning, also an Albuquerque High School graduate. In 1964, she remarried to Olis Lavoise Jones, from Macadoo, TX. Her career was as a Mother and Wife. She never gave up on any of her children, nieces, or her husband. She was a loving Mother, Wife, an inspiration, and admired by everyone that knew her. She will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Mother, your task is finally done. She volunteered and served at Albuquerque homeless shelters, loved New Mexico, and was awarded the Coronado Mall's Hero award. Memorial Services will be held at Central United Methodist Church Chapel, on Saturday, 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m., 1615 Copper, NE, (University at Central), Albuquerque, NM. On Sunday, March 13, 2005, she will be placed next to her Husband in the Jones family plot in McAdoo, TX.
