JENNINGS -- Thelma M. Jennings, age 88, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away at Laurel Heights Healthcare Wednesday, March 9, 2005. She and her seven siblings were born and raised in Springdale, AR where her father was a circuit riding preacher. She married Lawrence Jennings and moved to California during the Great Depression where they raised their three children. He preceded her in death in 1984. Thelma retired from General Electric in California before moving with her husband to Arkansas and later Albuquerque in 1973. She had been a long-time member of Del Norte Baptist Church and most recently attended First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque. She was a loving and devoted mother who enjoyed handwork, knitting, quilting, and making slipper-socks for her family. She is survived by her three children: Dean Jennings and wife, Georgia, Bill Jennings and wife, Joann, Joyce Flowers and husband, Vic; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rachel Williams and Mary McGee. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chester T. French Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
