DURKIN -- Margaret Mary Durkin, aged 76, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2005. She was a resident of Albuquerque since 1970 and a native of Bell Island, Newfoundland, Canada. Margaret became an American citizen in 1954. She is survived by her son, John Patrick Durkin, of Tokyo, Japan; grandsons, Daiki John Durkin and Peter Durkin; brothers, Peter Neary, John Neary, and Gerald Neary; sister, Anne Reed. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Durkin, in 1996. She was a member of the Catholic Church. A Prayer Vigil will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment of cremains will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
