BROUILLETTE -- Shirley Ann Brouillette, 70, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 25 years, passed (away) on Friday, March 4, 2005. Shirley was born October 27, 1934 the daughter of Anthony "Andy" and Hattie Chenore Arseneau in Iroquois County, Illinois. Shirley was a very involved and active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Her life evolved around her church and her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobby was to cook, and she did so with love and joy. Shirley was also a caregiver to her husband "Sully" and her son Gary. Shirley is survived by her husband, Adlore "Sully" Brouillette; four children, James Whittington and wife, Deb of Kankakee, IL, Richard Whittington and wife, Cindi of (Bourbonnais), IL, Dawn M. Trautman and husband, Bob of Rio Rancho, NM, and Gary Whittington of Rio Rancho, NM; eight grandchildren, Shannon Johnson and husband, Adam, Jami Trautman, Erik Whittington and wife, Tina, David Whittington and wife, April, Dayna Warden and husband, Jeremy, Kiel Martin and wife, Angie, Stephanie Jepsen and husband, Derek, and Stacy Spaulding and husband, Brian; and eleven great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Robert Trautman, Erik Whittington, Adam Johnson, and Gary Whittington. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Jepsen, David Whittington, Brian Spaulding, Jason Moe and Kiel Martin. It has been suggested that memorial contributions be made in Shirley's name to the New Mexico Foundation for the Blind, 2200 Yale Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
