SANCHEZ -- Rafael "Ralph" G. Sanchez, 72, lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away Monday, February, 28, 2005 after a short illness surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joyce L. Sanchez; children, Gilbert Sanchez, Evelyn Symonds, Lillian Madrid and husband, Ben, Manuel Sanchez, Michael Sanchez and wife, Judy; stepchildren, Charles Berry, all of Albuquerque, Robyn Smith, Deborah Yankowski, both of Houston, TX; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe and Stella Sanchez, Eloy and Angie Sanchez; sisters, Emma Chavez, Margaret Larragoite and husband, Phillip, Candy Martinez and husband, Joe and Marcella Sexauer and husband, Rick; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Sanchez was a truck driver for over 50 years. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Father Dino Candelaria, Celebrant. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randall Romero, Duane Oldfield, Herb Oldfield, Mike Gallegos, Larry Martinez, and Richard Martinez.
