Claudine was born on December 25, 1910, in Auxier, KY to David W. and Margaret Davis Hudson. Claudine grew up in Wellston, OH - living out of town in the country. She walked 1 or 2 miles to school everyday with her three sisters, worshipped at Hope United Methodist Church, and played basketball for Wellston High School. She met and married Clarence Sproul after high school and they had three children. They lived in Wellston, Portsmouth, and Columbus, OH until 1945. Claudine retired from Sandia National Labs and spent more than twenty years traveling the United States with Clarence. She shared her gift of love by knitting, crocheting and quilting wonderful gifts for loved ones - treasures to all of them. She had great compassion for children less fortunate than her own participating in various missions work at Christ United Methodist Church.
