SAYLES -- Maynard W. Sayles, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 16, 2005. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 43 years, Patricia Sayles; and his daughters, Amy Luna, Betty Barela and husband Bryan, and his son Maynard Sayles. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren who will long for their Grandpa every day. A graduate of Westminster College in 1960, he and Pat moved to Albuquerque in 1967 where he worked for Missouri Research Laboratories for five years. In 1972, he formed Toltec Enterprises and what started as a T-shirt printing shop quickly became the most respected name in the Southwest for screen printing, laser engraving, and digital imaging for many government sponsored jobs. All of these things were possible because Maynard was relentless in his pursuit of knowledge and technology. His business brilliance was surpassed only by his love for his second home at ElVado Ranch and the special friends he was surrounded by. Our hearts are broken. The Albuquerque business community has lost a great man. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 22 at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary at. 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
