SPELLA -- Robert James Spella, 60, a resident of Rio Rancho for over 20 years, died peacefully on Saturday, January 29, 2005. Bob was born December 24, 1944 the son of Arnold and Carmela (Meretti) Spella in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from Dominican High School and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Bob will be remembered for his fun loving spirit, and his dedication to family and friends. Devoted husband of the late Marion Spella; loving father to Andrea (Jason) Garcia, Rob and Paul Spella; devoted brother to the late Arnold Spella (Barbara) and Darlene (Tim) Schimberg; fond uncle of Linda (Bob), Arnold, Dean (Sara), Andrew and Ariana; nephew of Rosario and Josephine Spella, Josephine Alberti, Mary Maretti, Michael (Janet) Maretti and Clara Maretti; dear brother-in-law of Ted and Barbara Sweitzer; Special friend of Jeff Breitner and Sandra and Bill Tinlin; further survivors include many loving cousins and other relatives. A Memorial Service for Bob will be held on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with Fr. John Tourangeau officiating.
