SANCHEZ -- Tony A. Sanchez, age 79, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 3, 2005, with his family at his side. He was retired from the City of Albuquerque, having worked as a draftsman for over 33 years. Tony was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served his country in the US. Army during WWII. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Virginia Sanchez; three loving children, Debra Roybal and husband, Mike and Cynthia Sanchez all of Albuquerque, and John Sanchez and wife, Kathy of Seattle, WA; two dear grandchildren, Adam Roybal and Bethanie Sanchez; one brother, Joe Sanchez and wife, Hermin of Denver, CO; three sisters, Ruth Campos, Rita Gilbert and Josephine Hernandez all of Albuquerque; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at John XXIII Catholic Community, Tramway and Manitoba NE., with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2005, with burial following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
