MARTINEZ -- Marlene Serna "Mom Sis" Born January 29, 1950, passed away January 13, 2005. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Ernesto and Frances Serna; her husband, Genaro Martinez; and her brother, Amado (Mitch) Serna. She is survived by her children, Annjanette Serna of Albuquerque, Andrew Sanchez of Albuquerque, Celeste Martinez of Albuquerque, and Adam Martinez of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Ashley Arellano, and Andre Sanchez; six sisters, Angela Baca, Annette St. Martin, Dorothy Rodriquez, Sylvia Abbot, Irene Maldonado, and Lucille Serna; three brothers, Ruben Serna, Alex Serna, and Ernest Serna; and many wonderful brother and sister-in-laws; nieces; and nephews. Her courage and endurance to the end will never be forgotten. There are too many things we can say about you today my dear "Mom Sis", your light spirit, your ability to get through any situation, your wisdom, your strength, your sense of humor, and your intense love for Jehovah God will always be in our hearts and memories. You have made us stronger, and with this we shall go on. You are "our" hero and will be truly missed. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 11:00am at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 109 Waterfall Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123 call 294-4201.
