SWEETEN -- Joe Sweeten passed away peacefully of January 3, 2005. He was 67 years old. He leaves behind four sisters: Veldemae Barr and husband Robert; Mary Whitney and husband Don; Bar Hoover and husband Bob; and Punkin Elrod and husband Fred. One brother, Billy Grill and his wife Glenda. Sons, William Sweeten; Steven Sweeten and his wife Belinda. One daughter, Jeannie Schroeder and husband Chip. Six grandchildren, Brian, Matthew, and Amanda Sweeten; Shannon and Cheyenne Andrews; and Wyatt Schroeder. Also many nieces and nephews. He had his own mechanic shop for forty years and did silversmith work also. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Cremation has taken place, and his remains will be spread across the place where he loved to hunt and fish.
