SCALES -- Alvin E. "Gene" Scales, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, December 28, 2004. He is survived by his wife Rosetta "Rosy" Scales of Albuquerque; sons, Michael A. Scales and Edwin A. Scales and wife, Karen, all of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, CMSgt. Rosetta "Jeannie" McLean of Washington, DC; granddaughter, Elissa Scales and grandson, Alex Scales, both of Rio Rancho, NM; grandson, Vincent McLean of Lubbock, TX and sisters, Marie Dockery of Dallas, TX and Amiee Brown of Wichita Falls, TX and seven sisters-in-law. Mr. Scales was a member of Lodge #68 AF & AM, Chapman Lodge #2 AF & AM, Santa Fe Lodge of Perfection (Scottish Rite), Ballut Abyad Temple and Royal Order of the Jesters. Burial has taken place at Santa Fe National Cemetery and a memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2004, 2:00 p.m., at the Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple, 6600 Zuni Road SE.
