GARCIA -- Edwina G. Garcia, age 81, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister was called home by our Heavenly Father, Monday, December 27, 2004. She was a resident of Alameda; and a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom V. Garcia; her parents, Leopoldo and Susanita; and several brothers and sisters. Edwina is survived by her loving children, Tom G. Garcia and wife Loretta, and Betty A. Garcia; four precious grandchildren, Felicia, J.T., Renee, and Edwina Nicole; and a great-grandson, Justin. Also surviving are a brother, Nick Garcia; sisters, Rosella Garcia and Frances Sanchez; nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Edwina will be greatly missed by her loving family and by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. till time of Rosary at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church; where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Gutierrez, Ray Arriola, Damacio Ulibarri, Jorge A. Larios, Chris Hendren, and Andrew Mora. Honorary bearers will be J.T. Garcia and Tony Baca. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research & Treatment Center University of New Mexico, 900 Camino De Salud NE, Albuquerque, NM 87131.
