PEREZ -- Antonia Perez, age 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister was called home by our Heavenly Father, Friday, December 3, 2004. She was born on May 17, 1925 in Santa Rita, NM. Antonia was a resident of Bernalillo and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Antonia enjoyed traveling, fishing and especially spending time with her loving family. She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Leyba; and a son Manuel Leyba. Antonia is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Toby Perez; her children, Lucy Aragon and husband Bernardo, Robert Perez and wife Theresa, and Max Perez all of Bernalillo, Viola Vines and husband Dudley of Rio Rancho, Katie Borrego and husband Jim of Pueblo, CO; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother, Juana Leyba of Hurley, NM; her siblings, Josie Dominguez , Genevieve Pena and husband Fred, Juan Leyba Jr. all of Bayard, NM, Yolanda Schmelza and husband Roger of Silver City, NM, and Dessie Pena and husband Manuel of Hurley, NM, Albert Leyba and wife Esperanza of Carson City, NV; numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Antonia will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. A Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Raul Aragon, Alex Aragon, Max Perez, Jr., Andrew Perez, Manuel Borrego, and Aaron Trujillo. Honorary bearers will be Jacob Rivera, Anthony Dominguez, Leonard Dominguez, Fred Trujillo, and Michael Trujillo. Funeral Services are entrusted to: Alameda Mortuary 9420 Fourth Street NW 898-3160
