VAUBEL -- Charles P. Vaubel, Jr., 84, a long time resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, November 21, 2004, with his wife, children and grandchildren at his side. Charlie was born January 13, 1920 in Minneapolis, MN. He was a WWII Veteran, serving his time on PT 311 in the Mediterranean. After moving to Albuquerque in 1958, Charlie was employed by Sandia National Labs and Kirtland Air Force Base. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 48 and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Charlie is survived by his wife, Betty; four children; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry; a sister, Georgian; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, November 26, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel with Dr. Larry E. Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit Thursday, November 25, 2004 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
