GIBSON -- Robert R. Gibson, 81, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died on Friday, November 12, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Gibson; children, Linda Shaw and husband, William "Bill"; Robert "Tripp" Gibson and wife, Marilyn, and Bradley "Brad" Gibson; grandchildren, Tara Ramirez and husband, Daniel, Bevin Shaw, Bryna Shaw, Brennan Shaw and wife, Venise, Tiernan Shaw, Colin Shaw, Bree Ann Gibson, Makaela Suitt and husband, Jason, Trenton Gibson, Travis Gibson, Kelsey Adams and husband Daniel, and Keller Gibson; great grandchildren, Katherine Shaw, Tristan and Gabriel C. Adams. Robert was a graduate of Albuquerque High School in 1941 where he was an all-state football player, and was a graduate of Wichita State University. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II. Robert worked at Kirtland AFB in Contract Management Division before retiring in 1984. Services will take place on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE.
